Guess the best plan it to only keep small amounts on your person.   I plan to hide the cash in a few different areas of the car.  Of course there is risk in that.   Time and experience may change my mind, but that's the plan for now.

Got into trouble with credit cards a few years back.  With the debit card I am spending my money and when it's gone, well you know.  I do have one credit card I keep for emergency use.  But, i hope to never use it. September 17th I will be moving into my car to save rent.  Hopefully this time...

I've been traveling for 2 years now.  Have always stayed in Hotels, apartments or rented rooms.  Will be moving into my car in three weeks.  Should be able to save $2,000.00 a month.  Currently in New Hampshire but heading south for the winter.

This is the bed I built for my Ford Escape.  24" x 75".  With the passenger seat all the way forward I have 2" clearance to the back hatch and 2" to the seat. The rear seat is folded down.  Made from 5/16" OSB and cheap carpet.
