    1986 Chevy G30 Hi-Cube

I will keep my eyes open next time I am at the hardware store. I have been out of town for the past few weeks for work, so the progress is on hold for a little while. Ohh well... it gives me time to think about wiring.

    Converting a 1986 G30 Van for Expeditioning

Ed... YOU ARE THE KING!!! Thank you for the links.  Any ideas of where to get the rubber bumpers that hold the back doors open? Also, any thoughts on the front dash ? Mine is in pretty rough shape and peeling. Thinking about re coating it with some product like line-x or a vinyl spray.  By the...

    1986 Chevy G30 Hi-Cube

Thanks for the recommendation on LMC . I will pick up new seals for the front doors from them. I am having a tough time finding seals for the rear doors and windows. May have to improvise and make some seals.

    1986 Chevy G30 Hi-Cube

Thank you sir. I have changed the HB and got the heart of the beast running really well. I appreciate your help, and look forward to your thread on the 6.2. I just rebuilt a 6.2 with a friend for his hi-cube. If you need any pictures of anything in particular, let me know.

I looked into a fluid balancer, but couldn't justify spending over double for what I paid for the entire truck.  I would absolutely run a larger filter if you could provide the part number. I put a inline donaldson fuel filter, pre stock filter. I know the...

Yes it is a 6.2L (military) diesel. To date I have replaced plugs with G60, added a push glow switch for extended glow on those cold days. All fluids have been replaced, belts, and harmonic balancer.  Do you know of a good place to find window and door seals for these vehicles? on a side...

    Converting a 1986 G30 Van for Expeditioning

Great progress on your G30 Hi-Cube !! I also have a 1986 Hi-Cube that I recently started a conversion on. Truck didnt run for 8 years, and with a little wrenching, fluids and a light overhaul,  got it to glow and run like it was new.  I have been scouring the internet looking for replacement...
