    1986 Bounder

He has been plugging the generator into the my generator. I didn’t realize there was a way to directly charge the batteries with the generator.

    1986 Bounder

My friend has a 1986 Bounder, and he is parked in  Pahrump. There are a few things not working properly- like the Onan generator for start, then batteries not charging when hooked up to my generator. Any help or suggestions?? Thanks a bunch!

Warning to those looking @ the new "Ram" Vans.

Thanks for posting this! I am often envious of those vans because I lose a bit of space with my Chevy and it’s aftermarket high top. I’ll not be envious anymore!

    Van walls

The bare metal in my van has been driving me nutty, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I am not a carpenter!  So, I finally hit upon a solution that is good for me, for now. I took Velcro and attached it to Reflectix, then I covered one side of the Reflectix with a party vinyl tablecloth...

    Any Chevy Express owners

I have a Chevy Express Extended van. I love it! I put 10,250 miles on it this summer. It really was like driving a car. I have a Whynter fridge/freezer with batteries and a Xantrex inverter/converter. I needed to recharge by plugging it in or by running my generator for 3 hours. I put a hightop...

    Slanted Shelves work GREAT

This is interesting because, after spending the summer in my van, I have definitely decided that some fine tuning is needed. I saw some show dressers at IKEA that open at a slant, are not as wide as the shelves I have, and I thinkn could screw them into the walls of the van. I certainly am tired...

How do I keep windows from fogging up?

I quit putting the sunscreen- Reflectix type material in the front window at night and the condensation went away.

    Van build so far

Looks like a great start. It’s amazing how a trip or two will help you “see” what you will want in your van.

And it begins...My Chevy Express 3500

I have block out curtains behind the screen, so it’s dark to the outside world. Just the block out curtains would have been enough, but my English Shepherd exhausts himself looking out the front windows if I don’t keep him in the back with me.

And it begins...My Chevy Express 3500

Update! Since I posted I have, or my sons have, or I’ve paid to have done: Put a hitch on Dealt with the rear air bags Put in 30 amp- 4 receptacles, breaker box, overhead light Installed Whynter fridge/freezer on a box that also houses 2000 watt Xantrex inverter/charger 2 universal sealed 125 ah...

    C-Head Toilet Owners!

I’ve read it needs ventilation. What happens if it doesn’t get any? I really like the idea of emptying the jug instead of the bottom of my porta potty!
