Anyone interested in go camping at wonder Lake campground in Denali NP?  I've been wanting to go to Alaska for sometime but it was just too daunting for a retired old lady to drive such a long trip, so I've decided just fly there and camp for a few days in late August 2021 to take some photos.

VJG1977  has not made any new post since mid Oct.  From his other thread, he said his wife passed away and he had stage 4 cancer and was going thru chemo.  I hope he is doing ok, said a prayer for him.  

I am a retired old lady, anyone interested in going to see the moon rise over Delicate Arch in Arches NP around 5/16 and 5/17? Can share a campsite at the park. The campsite does not have room for large RV. Also interested in gathering around Moab when I am there.

Thanks wayne.  It's ok, I don't need to post a new thread for a little thing like that.  I can always just watch the beginning of the moon rise and leave before it gets too dark. Speak of something neat, I'll be going to Yosemite to see the Firefall in a couple of weeks.  I've seen it twice...

I am embarrassed to say I did not make it.  After a long hard hesitation I did not think I was able to make the 10,000 mile drive by myself.  I still want to go to Alaska but probably will have to fly there and rent a car. Meanwhile, I am looking for people to hike with from the Delicate Arch...

Good idea.  In 2018 RTR I had to walk 15 min round trip to use porta potty.  Maybe we can have a little area not too far from the potties for car campers? It wasn't windy when I attended last RTR.

Hi Kathy, I currently have aaa (for passenger car), but aaa doesn't tow cars on dirt roads, so I am thinking switching to Good Sam. I have called them to clarify what kind of dirt road they'd cover. The operator kept repeating "state-maintain road". Do you know if they cover the dirt roads...
