Using a Slide in Camper as offgrid Cabin

I just got back from spending 3 days at the slide in. It was a very enjoyable trip. I accomplished a few goals on this trip and have made a few more goals for next trip. Solar: I installed the cheapest solar setup I could come up with. I purchased Harbor Freight stuff. I installed a 25watt...

Using a Slide in Camper as offgrid Cabin

My wife and I came across a super great deal for a lease for a spot in the woods. We were originally thinking we could take the Motorhome up there but after looking at it we decided there is no way our 26 foot RV was NOT going to make it back there. We wont be living there but it will be nice to...

Electric instant hot water heater replacment for bad 6 gal propane.

If anyone was curious I ended up using this to replace my hot water heater. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B635F6C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details It works pretty good. It actually fits well in the spot where the old gas heater was. Biggest downside is I have to run its own power cord as I...

Electric instant hot water heater replacment for bad 6 gal propane.

My motorhome has a 6 gallon propane hot water heater. The hot water heater leaks. Instead of repairing/replacing it I was thinking about installing a unit like this...

I figured the good sams would be like that from what I was reading on their website. I would gladly pay what they are asking if it was like AAA So I guess I'm a little in the dark about the differences between  B and C. Could someone post a link I could read more. I found quite a bit of...

I purchased a new (to me) motorhome 1987 Cozy Traveler Ford E350

I purchased this RV about a month ago. I was looking to buy one later this year but came across this one and pulled the trigger. It did not run when I bought it. The seller said it sat for about 3 years but was regularly used beforehand. He was the 2nd owner after his mother in law. It was barn...

86 Diesel Econoline Hightop to replace stolen 96 B3500

Ive started on the build of this van finally. The paint was not good. The body was pretty straight but would require tons of prep work to get ready for paint not to mention a small fourtune. My solution was to cover the entire van in truck bed liner. I would call the end result umm...

Stolen and Recovered 96 Dodge B3500

Glad they didn't do body mechanical damage. They ran it through a chain link fence and other than a small dent down the side and a broken headlight assembly it did really well. I don't know why they tore out the interior it looked great! Maybe gonna use it to transport carpet cleaning tools...

Stolen and Recovered 96 Dodge B3500

Back in late May my 96 Dodge B3500 was stolen. I recovered my van a little more than two months later. I am very grateful to have it back even though I had already purchased another van to replace it. I learned that my insurance coverage at the time did not cover the theft and damages. I have...

Van Pics wanted for youtube slideshow music

I had a song written a few years ago about living in in van by the river. I used it in a video I did. I think it would be really cool to post a video with just the song and pictures of vans. I don't really just want to grab a bunch of google images of vans and thought maybe some people here...

86 Diesel Econoline Hightop to replace stolen 96 B3500

My 96 Dodge Ram B3500 was stolen a little while ago. I do still have a motorhome but I enjoy having a Van.  I now have 1986 Ford E-350 powered by a 6.9 idi diesel with a banks turbo kit. I just happened to start talking to the guy in an Advance Auto parking lot. He said he'd sell it to me so I...

    New camper project

I did look at the date codes on the new tires. They were about a year and a half old. I've heard of some 16.5 tires sitting on the shelves alot longer.
