    Mattress Options

I have to agree with Bob , thermarest makes good prods.  Therms at REI can be a bit pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for.  I don't know, I look at REI as the Whole Foods of camping items lol.

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

thanks for your honesty, and you are right..I am partial to Honda Pilot.  The pics that you have included are waaay to serious of campers for me.  I'm just a beginner and this stuff looks pretty damn serious. I cant even see myself driving this thing casually around my city.  and doenst look...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Hey Path thanks for your insight.  Heres my 2 cents...Im looking for a 2nd gen Pilot because as you said, it has more cargo room.  I'm more leaning towards an older model Pilot however its going to be hard to find  a 2nd generation Pilot for under 10K or maybe it will have 2 million miles on it...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Hello and thank you for your compliment. I will have to check his channel out. But truthfully...I'm tired of all the Elements and prius' rebuilds. I'm stuck on Pilots and that's the route I'm going. Looks like I just might have to start a Pilot-camper community lol

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

I tell ya what, thanks for the Piloteers URL, I just stumbled upon that site last week while researching. But anyways...you must be the MAN, to get a Pilot 8 yrs ago (which would put the yr around 2008), and you buy a 2006 Pilot for was it 6k?  Daaamn can you go buy me a Pilot and I give you the...

Really? More comfy than with the Honda Pilot with the 2rows removed and a bed placed in that space?

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Dude Joe I couldn't agree with you more. I could very easily get a nice cargo van for that money like Bob did. But I want a happy medium where I can have a vehicle to camp in, yet have a semi fashionable vehicle to travel in my home city, take a girly out in. Etc. does that make sense? Idk...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Thanks Artw. "Bed directly in the bed"? After a little thought I think I understand what you meant. I'm looking into once I get the Pilot then to take it a shop that they specialize in converting to camper. Idk. The tent thing sounded kinda good because to have extra living space would be nice...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Hello and greetings. Yes we seem to be on the same page. A lot of these pilots with all the bells and whistles like navi, 4wd, low miles, etc will be close to 40k brand new. The used Touring top of the line models are about 10 k cheaper. But I want an SUV that I can take out on the weekend to...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Hello. Yes you're probably right. I like the design and look of the pilot however. I'm not sure if they have a pop up kit designed for the pilot. I was thinking of camper conversion by taking out the back 2 rows and conctructing a big box to serve as storage and bed. And also use a tent that...
