Can I plumb a 1 lb green propane bottle to a Ecotemp L5 water heater ? If so how ?

How can I hook a small 1 lb green propane bottle to the Ecotemp L5 ?? The reason I ask is that the water heater doesn't use much propane and so  I can save space by using the little bottle , no sense in carrying around a huge tank of propane. Thanks in advance

How do i prevent my batteries from dropping below 50% , for example if i go to sleep and the furnace is running i may wake up with a low battery. I would like the loads to stop drawing amps when the battery gets to 50%. Thanks
