    "Where are the Electric RVs?"

According to Winnebago the demand isn't there. They built something called a Boldt which lets you run your A/C off your batteries for 9 hours though. Mercedes sprinter diesel around $180k. The people want off road ability and endless electricity with their Merc reliability.

San Diego crackdown on vehicle habitation

It's probably a newbie cop on the beat, most likely female, trying too hard. Over zealous, trigger happy youngsters can be annoying.   Every now and then everyone on my street gets a ticket for some bs. Just have to fight them in court.

Tablet owners where do you get you wi-fi?

Bought a tablet with cellular and added a line to my Verizon plan.

    America the beautiful pass questions...

I'm not sure about towing but am guessing it counts as one vehicle.  The pass is good for US Fish & Wildlife Service, Forest Service, US Army Corp of Engineers, BLM, NPS, and Bureau of Reclamation.  I find mine very useful. Love bringing my grand daughter with me to the national parks.

    Osiyo from Ohio!

I'll have to look them up and add to my reading list. Thank you.  Great movies! How about Last of the Dogmen. Smoke Signals and a funny one, Christmas in the Clouds? I liked Turquoise Rose too! Are you familiar with Walela? Rita Coolidge, sister and niece sing in Cherokee. Really beautiful.

    Osiyo from Ohio!

Ulihelisdi my sister!  How wonderful you now have Internet. Sometimes I don't recall how I got along without it. I've read all of Tony Hillerman's books at least 2x and of course, the ones made into movies I've seen many times. It's funny you should mention Chee as I often think of that...

Living in an "RV" on your own land?

Well said. As far as I know CA directly regulates and oversees most mobile home parks so they may shut it down when the management doesn't keep it up to par.  When you want to use your own land for your RV, be sure to change the terminology to "recreate" instead of "live". Perception is...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Sportsmobile is a company that can probably add the camper top to the Pilot. They do aftermarket conversions on many different vehicles. You can pick and choose how you want your vehicle modified to your needs.  http://sportsmobile.com/

I need to buy a tv

Really need a TV? Or would a good quality laptop be more useful? Laptops and tablets tend to have a better display and are multifunctional and portable.

Is there a chat room that some of you frequent?

Ah yes, this is now an app too. 20 years later.

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Sportsmobile can do anything. I'm sure they could handle a Pilot camper top. Why not.

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

The company, Ursa Minor, says it uses existing roof openings in it's applications. My Pilots sunroof is too small for anyone to crawl through so some cutting of the roof would need to be done. Maybe a sportsmobile type camper conversion would be the way to go for a Pilot instead.

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

The company linked below might be able to help you. They do mods on Honda's and Jeeps.  http://www.ursaminorvehicles.com/

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

The Element was discontinued because Honda felt the 2nd gen pilot and CRV would cover the market, so I was told. The Elements are very roomy, reliable but not as nicely appointed. They are more like a camper, boxy and no carpet. Easy to access and keep clean as well but shorter in stance...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

Haha. Well, it was a fairly new car then but had high miles. The lady who owned it previously traveled extensively but the car was immaculate and well maintained. I worked the dealer down 5k to my price which was KBB value plus $500.  *Always buy at the end of a month and always offer a clean ...

    Picking your Brains Fellow Campers!!

I hear ya on the dual purpose aspect. Same for me. Honestly, I've been looking for a van myself but just can't seem to find the same value for the money. A 2015 Ford Transit can be had for about 20k but I wouldn't want to drive it every day in the city. My Pilot is the older body style...
