Any good Window Tinter's in the Quartzsite to Phoenix area?

Hello fellow Nomads and wannabes, Does anybody out there in nomad land or anywhere else have any suggestions on a good Window Tinter in the Quartzsite - Phoenix area.  Wiling to pay going rate, just want quality work. Or a good window tinter for a cheap price would work too… :) Will be tinting...

    The "Social Contract"

Independent living in a totally interdependent universe is proving to be quite challenging.

    Medical cannabis

If you want to avoid the checkpoints, try using I-40 instead. You can come down to Quartzsite from Needles or from Flagstaff. Much better drive IMO. And you avoid the unwanted intrusion.

    Living out of a Semi

Couple of decades ago, I was hired by GT to drive OTR. On my way to Medford, to go out with my trainer, I stopped at a truck stop near Rice HIll for coffee. Talked to a couple of OTR (old timers), in less than 1/2 hour they had talked me out of OTR driving. They said go ahead if you want to earn...

    2018 Barrett Jackson Auction

Thanks for the heads-up. That would be a nice diversion. Farther away is the Pomona Swap Meet on Jan. 14th., been wanting to attend that one too. Lots of interesting events happening around the same time. Decisions, decisions... :)

    North to Alaska

Be sure to buy a Alaska Mile Post Travel Book for the current year. It will have gas stations & hotels listed that are open during that time of year. Start looking for a gas station when you are at 1/2 tank. Some of the animals will not move out of your way, you must slow down and not hit them...

    Do you LOVE coffee?

Love the smell of the beans roasting and the coffee brewing...but it can't pass my lips. Combine that smell with bacon frying and that is the best smell in the world to wake up to. Of course being a vegetarian, I don't consume bacon either! When I stay at a motel, I will brew up coffee in the...

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Thank you all for your suggestions, it was very helpful. After all the research and all, I went with the Tentipi Safir 7, Inner Tent, and a Wood Burning stove. Big $$$!, but it will all stow inside my Cherokee while still leaving me with enough room to sleep inside. Thank you all! Cheers!

    Cargo Trailer Advice

Just a thought... You might need a more heavy duty vehicle. I ran into that trying to use a Jeep Cherokee 4.0 to tow a 6x10 that only weighed half what you have in mind. It struggled big time with 3.55 gears. Instead of changing the gear ratio to 4.10, I will replace it with a more HD vehicle...

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, weather will dictate what shelter is used, for sure. I was in AZ last winter so I know what to expect. Check out the Tentipi, pretty cool. Cheers!

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Will spend winters in Pac Northwest & the Southwest. Yeah, I thought about the wind, in that case I will Cawl into the Jeep.  Tentipi is the only tipi I would consider but can't pull the trigger on that while looking for a van. Just pre-ordered the Springbar Traveler 5 Tent. $790 delivered. I...

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Only looking for a tent to use while looking for a suitable Van/P-U/RV and also to use as a comfortable secondary shelter to do whatever. My Cherokee is too small to be comfortable. Being from AK, I plan on returning during the summers. Bringing anything less than a 4 season tent to AK in my...

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Thank you for the suggestion. Yeah, will probably go with the Kodiak, especially with the price being so much lower than the Tentipi.  Although the Tentipi does offer some compelling advantages like a wood stove/open fire option, the price unfortunately may be too high.

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Tried the Cargo Trailer last year... a 6x10. Not my cup of tea.  Gosh! Hopefully I won't be camping only on frozen ground!  :)

Help me choose a 4 Season Tent

Hi All, Need your help in choosing a 4 season tent. Will be living out of my Cherokee and until a suitable replacement vehicle is found, I need a  quality 4 Season 6 PersonTent. Easy, one person set up is crucial, as is quality. Don't want Rooftop or SUV tents, just want a good Ground Tent that...

Need to really start thinking about insulation and climate control

With 96% of the outside radiant heat reflected outwards and 96% of the inside radiant heat reflected back inwards, along with a vapor barrier, I'm not sure if condensation is going to be a big issue. IMHO.  The roof was weather proofed for reflective and sound barrier reasons. Rain can sound...

Need to really start thinking about insulation and climate control

Hello Folks, Just did my 10x6 cargo trailer walls and ceiling with ECO FOIL, reflective barrier. ( ecofoil.com ).  I reflects 96% of radiant heat, is reflective on both sides (keeps heat out or heat in), and also is a quality moisture barrier. It is very strong and easy to work with, and can be...
