Has Bob done a video where he showed the solar install in his high top? Was just rewatching the vid where he put up the space blanket over the rear doors and was interested in how the panels appeared to maybe pull out to get that last one in. Thanks!
I'm sorry, I'm not fluent enough in this stuff to follow all you said here. I mean, I got the last line, read the manual and talk to GZ which makes sense. Thanks
I've got a handshake deal to buy a van that has 200W of solar panels, a goalzero yeti 1250 generator thing and the owner has added a second battery in parallel with the GoalZero, so the Yeti of course now thinks it's doubled in size. If I was to add a continuous duty solenoid (because we can go...
Unsure of the type of batteries at this time to be totally honest. I would prefer AGM, but just when I think I've got that part figured out I'll read where FLA are better and I'll be off again.
As to temps, generally typical New England weather, so...figure mostly 25 F and above, occasionally...
So if I was to use a Renogy suitcase panel or two, as shown in one of Bob's vids, what do I do with the battery in the winter? I'm assuming it's not great to leave the batteries outside all day?
Build a little box lined with some pink foam?
Totally wiring the rig isn't probably going to...
Champion is badged just behind the wheel well toward the rear. Champion made RV's (mostly using Dodge chassis/power) and they made the "trans van" but I can't find any info on anything that looks like this one.
Apologies for the way I'm posting, but I've been a full day trying to post on this forum and not get a 404 error, so when it finally went through I wasn't prepared
Searching for information about a 1989 Champion built on a 1 ton (C30 was the 1 ton right?) Chevy van. DRW, etc. Odometer shows 59K. Google hasn't been much help, I just get Trans Vans which this does not appear to be in looks or badging.
