Hey buddy, can you spare a dime?

Do you like clean toilets? Do you like Law Enforcement to stop the huge amount of damage that would be done without it? Do you like passable roads? Do you like a clean Visitor Center and Rangers there to answer your questions? I personally don’t for one second want to see the Parks personnel...

    Free table

I can only say that after all the trash was left for me last year, and the attitude of many toward dogs, I was washing my hands of Ehrenberg and wouldn’t be camping with anyone there but a few select friends. The whole Ranger clearing the area was a blessing in dusguise for me.

Ehrenburg Rangers to enforce 14 day camping limit

It was to be expected, the BLM is very tuned into us because of the huge turnout at the RTR. We are on their radar and always be from now on. It would help if you went to this video I made of a BLM Ranger answering questions at the RTR: Go to the 1:33 mark and he tells us that there is no...

Cast Iron, Aluminum, or stainless steel?

It doesn’t natter to me what’s in the Copper Chef pans, all I care about is that they work so well. I’ve tried other ceramic coatings that worked badly so now that I’ve found one that works well, I’ll “stick” with it—so to speak.

    What charger should I buy?

To make this as easy as possible for Coldbrook, let’s offer her two suggestions, 1) Best charger for under $100 with minimal learning 2) Best charger for under $200 that requires more learning

Cast Iron, Aluminum, or stainless steel?

Nothing sticks to the copper and they are as perfectly clean as the day she bought them a year ago. http://amzn.to/2j9WJ0Z

Need to figure out battery set up in one week?

The much harder problem will be properly charging the batteries for their longest life—that really is kind of hard. I suggest you start a new thread and ask which charger to buy and how to set it up. You’ll get lots of great help but we’ll have to be careful that it doesn’t break down into...

Need to figure out battery set up in one week?

Relax, you’e Got this!! It’s much easier than you think!! 500 watts of solar sounds good for your needs. If it were me I’d get 4, 6-volt, golf carts. If you’ll take good care of them I’d get Trojan T-105, if you won’t I’d buy Full River AGMs. The fridge is 12 volt so no need for an inverter...

Cast Iron, Aluminum, or stainless steel?

Copper My mom fell for those infomercials about copper pots and has been using them for about a year. They are fantastic!!!!! I’ll replace all mine with them.

    Part time stealth, minivan

If you have the CDL for a bus, you can work anywhere any time. All across the country there are river rafting guides and other companies that need to shuttle their customers to the beginning and then end of their trips. You can work anywhere you want, and usually in the most beautiful places in...

Feedback please on this idea for having a van plus trailer

You’re going to be an RV and you will be stuck camping with the RV crowd—is that remote enough for you? It’s far too limiting for me so I sold my 6x10 cargo trailer and travel in just my van. To be fair, some RVers do go back past the RV crowd, but they usually have a 4x4 tow vehicle and still...

Solo women's studio and home on wheels

I remember when you proposed that job and all the “expert” men beat you up and said you could never do it. You must be like that evil Elizabeth Warren: Yet She Persisted Fantastic Job!!!!!

    Wow. Feeling useless and hopeless.

I can’t even begin to guess at what your marriage was like or what any kind of fair mediation would be. But I am sure there should be one. Nearly every state encourages mediation at divorce instead of fighting and the courts, I’d encourage you to look into that. If you can both go in with a...

    Responsible Canine Camping

Note to self: remember to only camp alone other than RTR. Camping with me will be by individual invitation only and won’t be with the group at Ehrenberg. Apparently I’m not welcome there.  That’s fine with me, the more alone time the better.

Holy crap it’s cold! What do you do for the trunk?

The single most important thing about warm feet is that they stay dry. Do NOT wrap anything around them that can make them sweat like plastic or reflectix. Before you go to sleep, take off your damp socks and dry them with a warm dry cloth and rub them till they are warm If you go to bed with...

Hi Kar, that is some beautiful country up there in one of the pretties states! I’m very sorry that you are going through these physical problems, sadly, you are not alone there are many others who are caught in a long gap where you can’t work but you are still in a long fight to get your...
