    Catalytic Heaters

/\...All good advice on the wave heaters. I have a wave 6 in my schoolie hard mounted to the wall too. The cover they offer as an accessory is critical and should be part of the initial purchase and utilized upon installation! The best type of heater is a gas or diesel outside ventilated type...

    Almond Joy

/\...Excellent advice! Waaaay too many shoddy craftspeople and outright scammers out there fishing for an unsuspecting "sucker" to grab onto their poison bait. Welcome to the site and please do your due diligence when considering an outside entity to perform work on your vehicle. If you find...

/\...Not sure what you got "deleted" graycurlsvanning, but sometimes the moderation seemingly comes in a bit too hard on all of us. There are way too many things that I'm thinking right now less than 1 week away from midterm elections, but not posting, that would be considered "political" by...

    Dry Shampoo Recall

Thanks for the PSA, RVT! Scary for sure but the real question is why in h-e-double hockey sticks does unilever even use Benzine in any of their products in the first place? WTF??? End of rant...

Looks interesting but would need a lift and 33's to be a serious off roader in the US!

Vehicle may be making me sick,?

No title in most if not all states for a vehicle of your vintage = No Sale. Not even to a salvage yard! Your best course would be to re register it, (somehow???), and have your dad apply for a new/duplicate title. There are other ways to obtain a title that some car dealers are aware of. Good...

Liviing in Arizona vs Alabama with Environmental?

Naples, FL. today must be really difficult to live comfortably in thanks to the recent hurricane, am I right? One would naturally assume the better state of the two you mention for "environmental", would be Arizona. Mainly due to the humidity in AL., vs the dryer climate in southern AZ. being...

Being a good neighbor [split from another thread]

Feel free to move this as it is not exactly "on topic", although the OP has opened the discussion on moderation in post#9 already. I've already voiced my opinion on moderation on here, in previous posts, but I can't help myself on commenting yet again. "Damn the torpedoes"... When there is too...

    Propane information

Most insurance companies would frown on inside vehicle LP tank storage. Having said that, I use 2, 20# BBQ style tanks for stove and heat, and they are kept inside my rig. As long as you pay good attention to keeping the tanks secure from excessive movement while travelling and the connectors...

Surprised to hear that! He's on a month's long road trip with his GF now, and might not be able to answer for travel related issues?

Being a good neighbor [split from another thread]

True "stealth" camping in urban areas is a thing of the past. Way too many folks, not just law enforcement types, are onto those who live in vehicles and are immediately able to ID a parked vehicle as someone's "home on wheels". Therefore, those who continue to dwell in urban areas must be able...

2002 Merc Villager Van 123k v6 air/heat/pwr windows work vs 2005 Saturn Ion 196k air/heat works manual windows. Gotta sell one, moving.

Keep the vehicle that's better on gas, (most miles per gallon), as the price of gas is very likely going up again heading into the winter months. But if you need storage until you get into housing, better keep the van? Good luck in whichever one you choose, or if you keep both going forward...

Squatters taken over my new home, need to backyard vanlife?

This all depends on location. RV parks would not be cheap or inexpensive. Especially IF you could even get a park to allow a stock looking van to stay there. Do the "squatters" know what you look like? If not, your plan to just show up in the yard with a van should work.

Squatters taken over my new home, need to backyard vanlife?

With today's news from the FED that is hiking the interest rate once again, taking on heavy credit debt is going to get costly! Hopefully you can manage that and get the life you're looking for, in relatively short order...

    Looking for where to start

Welcome to the site. The keys to finding the "right" ambulance are body condition and overall mechanical condition. Much the same as buying a used car. If you're good at evaluating both, you'll likely have little trouble finding the "right" unit to convert. If you're not familiar with the...

    My vanlife begins!

Get ahold of "Chrome". He has a neat shop somewhere in BC and would probably jump at the chance to help you, provided he could film you/your van and the work for his YouTube channel? Here's a link to all of his video's where you could make contact with him, maybe...
