    Carla's Camper

I thought that in the past. A guy that worked for me asked several times about my cords being exposed outside, he said hed seen it happen before. I had no trouble, until i did. the plug was in enough water it shorted across the plug prongs, sparked and turned the plug black and tripped the...

I suspect your brake controller will probably work, someone here may know more.

    Trailer towing gone sadly wrong

Before we get too sidetracked on the subject of not being allowed to roam, can Ken or someone else give us a link to information about this proposed law? No disrespect, just things like this can take on a life of their own when things people "heard" something, but nobody did due diligence and...

I bought an SUV now what?

For much of this sort of thing about all you can do is look at various ideas then start adapting them to your space and personal preferences. Its unlikely you will find a vehicle specific example to simply follow. I have scads of things book marked in my computer in about every subject you can...

How do you clean a fired egg pan?

While this is true, the flash rust wipes out with an oiled paper towel easily. Its not really much trouble. Ive left mine with some hot water dampness on the stove while I did other dishes or was distracted ("Oh SQUIRREL!!")...

How do you clean a fired egg pan?

My impression is your edit, with the intention of saving a paper plate or washing a plate, is causing much of your issue, and creating more of a problem than the minor convenience of not using a plate. Many have mentioned putting some warm or hot water in the pan after cooking, or at any point...

    What are YOU listening to??

May be a repeat, but I didnt see it.... I heard this on the radio, then came across the video, good fun.

    What are YOU listening to??

This showed up a a discussion elsewhere about cover songs you liked more than originals. Not sure what I expected, but was pretty good.

Mount walls straight to the metal frame?

Thanks for posting that, Im aware of it but others looking for info may not be. And yes, very nice work! Planning ahead for possible changes when first building can reduce time and headaches later.

Mount walls straight to the metal frame?

Interesting, I was just wondering if anyone used plastic wiring conduit to protect wires and keep them organized. I think keeping wiring on the inside where they can be accessed if need be, and some relatively clean way to route them to the exact location needed makes sense.

    My New Toy!

Well thanks. Thanks a lot. Just when I thought i knew how to spend my limited time and resources, old motorcycles and a cargo trailer camper build, you go and post this. The cost is much less than I expected. I saw this several years ago and its intrigued me. Id love to have one I could take...

[Split from Real Prices] Adaptive Cruise, Drafting, Hyper-mileing etc.

If you are close enough to truly take advantage of drafting you are too close. Its not just stopping distance, and trucks can stop in astonishingly short distances, partly depending on the load and conditions, but its also reaction time, which is even more significant. I have no problem with...

    Carla's Camper

Indeed. I googled her make/model trying to find the location, nothing was specific to that model, but one other by the maker was under the fridge similar to my older winnebago. Oh well, it looks like shes on the right track and got the breaker kicked back on.

Carla, whats the small door under the fridge? If thats not it start looking in every small door down low.

    Carla's Camper

Another thought, when I was living in my winnebago for longer periods, I rented a 100 gal (not lb) tank from the local company, they deliver it and keep it full on schedule or as on-call. These look just like the larger tanks that are used for houses, just smaller. I had I think a 30' black...

    Carla's Camper

Carla, can you take a couple pictures of your tanks up fairly close from a couple angles, mainly the parts on top where the hoses are and the regulator? Yours being older is likely the simpler kind than some more recent ones may have. In the most basic sense, if yours requires the use a crescent...

    Carla's Camper

Ive used various electric heaters in my winnebago and cabin. A ceramic heater had some sort of smart circuits, if the power went out, it reset, meaning didnt turn back on. I had the plumbing freeze in my bath house and had to re-plumb some of it due to this feature. I threw that heater in the...
