Too poor to retire and too young to die

This will continue as long as no emphasis is given to teaching people about personal finances/budgeting. Now they are teaching kids about computers in grade 1. It would be more to the point if they taught about handling money and preparing for the future. I worked with a guy around 35 years ago...

Trying to understand my options with wheels and rims

I went the other way. I have run winter or mud and snow tires on my vehicles all year round for the past 15 or more years. Yeah, they claim that they will wear faster in the summer than all season. I don't care. I am not interested in keeping a second set of wheels. Bitty - anyone that is...

    Info On Common Vans

Hmmm. I thought my 1990 E350 460 was a 7.2. Was I wrong? I got rid of it around 10 years ago, so I don't think I have anything left that I can check.

Propane tank: where to buy, who to install?

I don't know. I have never done an exchange. The only thing I need propane for at the moment is my RV. The last time I had a 20#er expire there were no swaps. I bought a full reconditioned one for $15 less than new ones were selling for.

Propane tank: where to buy, who to install?

You do realize that you are paying a premium to do a swap rather than just getting a refill. In this area, last I noticed, you could find places that would fill a 20 for $18CDN. The cheapest I have noticed a swap is over $23CDN.

Propane tank: where to buy, who to install?

Under body tanks have thicker walls and a much longer life span than 20#ers.

Lend me your "ear" and I will tell you a most curious tale... of trying to buy a van.

I would walk away. You have been doing your best to make it work and the seller wants you to take his word that the van is good. I also find it strange that the van is on the island when he is on the mainland. It smells like sucker bait to me.

Thoughts on this van? Ford E350 extended high top.

You need to know the size of the engine to get the mpg. I guess it is this van. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/ctd/5294653402.html I could not see your picture. Since it is a work van, it may smell of oil, etc.
