The Bacon Van's Full Breakfast

Congrats on doing the oil change! I use these to catch the old oil: Helps preventing a mess. Also, they'll take up less storage space than a regular "oil pan".

Couple questions about flooring and wall/ceiling coverings

What everyone said... Also, I think you can get the heat out pretty well with a roof vent, and insulation will help keeping it cooler. I am in SC, so it is mostly hot and humid throughout the year, but it gets uncomfortably cold in winter. So, I am definitely insulating (actually I have just...

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

Had a community yard sale today. The rest went to Godwill. Good thing the van is still empty ;) Started wall insulation with 1/2 inch polyiso boards. 1/2 inch is nice, as it sort of fits the curves of the van. It will be a minimum of 1 inch, other spots even 2 inches. Ford has quite some...

    Cleaning yellow film off headlights

I did the same thing. Works like a charm. 400 grit sandpaper. 600 grit sandpaper. 2000 grit sandpaper. clear coat spray. The only challenge was to find 2000 grid sandpaper. It will look really foggy after sanding it, but after putting the clear coat on, it looked like brand new and totally...

    Contest #2

Those bags are put over nozzles of pumps that are "out of service". And I think it is even written on the bag itself.

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

Thank you John61CT, I returned the two 180W Grape Solar panels. My original intent was to have those two and add a 100W panel. But since this is not feasible, and since Renogy had a sale today, I am going with 4 x 100W Renogy panels.

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

OK thanks John61CT, that's good to know. I found it strange, too, that voltage is so high. But then, those numbers mean nothing to me, i.e. I don't know anything about it. The panels are 180W each, Grape Solar, and right now I am thinking of returning them and getting 4 x 100W Renogy.

A stand up clothes changing / shower solution in a low roof van

That is pretty much what "LoveRise" did. Awesome with how little you can actually get clean. Youtube:

    Mattress ventilation?

Looks awesome, Tom! Nice color, and I like the "Swiss-ish" style and the minimal support of your bed that allows for maximum storage space.

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

And there goes another weekend and I didn't accomplish much. I tested the solar panels. Test Result: 49.9 V (Voc), 9.80 A (Isc) Spec says 24.06 V (Voc), 9.77 A (Isc) Since the numbers are "above" the specs, I assume the panels are performing "OK". Found this stuff at Home Depot. A...
