Full-time vandwellers in colder winter climates

Hey, What about battery socks? My father used to wear them hunting.

Full-time vandwellers in colder winter climates

Is it possible to fiind an inexpensive foam type rug or mat to lay on the floor, to make your feet more comfortable?

Better yet, find a sock knitter like me, and have them custom fit to you. You realize that wool items need to be washed in cool water, yes?

    Methuselah Remodel

This is what Ruby looks like, except she doesn't have window visors. A good thing because I have a solar window fan to help keep Sophia comfy. When I get the camera figured out I'll take pics showing the placement of the cot, and table where passenger's seat was. I have to figure out where...

    Methuselah Remodel

Work on Ruby so far.... I already put a cot in her, with memory foam mattress. (Shortened, of course) I removed all but the driver's seat. Now I need to decide if I should put a small table where the passenger seat was, or a chair facing the rear. The table would be nice for coffee makings...

1996 Ford 350 Dually vs. 1998 Ford Explorer (SUV)

Solani, I had my heart set on a Ford Van Conversion, but the sale fell through. So I am now concentrating on my 2005 Ford Explorer. Check my Methuselah thread toward the end, for info on "Ruby" and setting her up for travel.

1996 Ford 350 Dually vs. 1998 Ford Explorer (SUV)

Hi Solani, Perhaps there is an auto club in the US that you could join. It would be nice if you could be put in contact with a garage in the US, that could tell you up front what your vehicle would need, and the cost. Good Luck. :)

YeeHaww, look what I found for RUBY. Even I can install this, and won't have to use the inverter when shore power is available. :D ;) :) This will get me started on getting Ruby...

    Battery Charging Questions

Wolf, your posts are also helpful to people like me who know nothing about the various needs of batteries, chargers, gizmos like multimeters and coulombr meters, because you relate your actual experiences. I'm still in the Schultz excuse "I know nussing" but I'm learning.

    I Video'd Our 7x16 Layout

Neat story. My daughter-in-law had a catering business with a wizard name. and my late husband did a pen-and-ink wizard for her business cards. She is no longer in that business, so if the sketch would be useful to you, you're welcome to it. (That is if I can find it :))

    Battery Charging Questions

Lone Wolf, may I add a battery question to your thread? My vehicle has some kind of short or other problem that over time, will run the battery down. I have a maintainer installed, but have been advised that a multimeter would be a good idea. Can someone familiat with this please tell me if...

    Battery Mainntainer during Inverter Use

Thank you Canine. I've been worried heat would build up, or the battery would be adversely affected. Seems a sneaky way to get shore power to the rig. :s Max

    Battery Mainntainer during Inverter Use

My 2005 Ford Explorer has an issue of running down the battery when the vehicle is not used for a long period of time. So I installed a maintainer so I know the battery will start the engine. Question - Is it ok to run small things with the inverter while the maintainer is plugged in?

    I Video'd Our 7x16 Layout

Hi, You've got a good start. The gutted Duraflame is good looking, have you thought about putting fake flames against the glass for a Franklin Stove look? Your leather-like storage containers are quite handsome. Hopefully you will make spaces for them as decorating items. Bob did a video of...
