What do all think of 2014 Ford high top Transit coming out?

Thanks for your insight. The pop top add-ons sound interesting. Any idea where I can get info and pics on the pop tops?

What do all think of 2014 Ford high top Transit coming out?

Kurbmaster, how tall are you? I like the  look and increased stealth of the mid roof. I'm 5'8" with shoes on and wonder if I could fit in it. The tall ones like the Nissan look a  bit dorky and stand out too much.

I like the flat roof that can accomodate solar panels, and the middle height roof, which, for me, still allows stand-up room inside.

    Being Undetected

    <br />Great idea. I wonder if it'd&nbsp;also be a good idea&nbsp;to sleep&nbsp;wearing a&nbsp;uniform with a name tag and boots on in case a cop comes a knocking?<img src="/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" />

If you do this, are you up front with them about staying in your vehicle overnight or do you hide that fact and hope you're not discovered?<br />

    Being Undetected

I actually located a trailor park on San Fernando Rd in L.A., a total dump, utilities not included, though available, to&nbsp;park anything up to 29 feet long,&nbsp;for a whopping $650 a month! I pay $812 a month with utilities included for my apartment now.

    Being Undetected

I'd gladly pay $100 a month as long as the owner knew I was staying in my vehicle and I didn't have to hide that fact. <br /><br />

    Being Undetected

I currently live in L.A. near the city limit to Glendale and as I am planning my transition to moblie living I have been scouting out possible places for overnight parking and I noticed that Glendale posts signs at their border that prohibits any vehicle longer than 23 feet and higher than 8...

Anybody own this or seen this stove...?

<p>I bought it today at Costco for the $149 but my concern is the space it will take up and more importantly is the weight, especially since posters here have said you need to it outside to use the oven part. Isn't&nbsp; it a hassle to carry that hefty thing outside to do that? It was such a...

Anybody own this or seen this stove...?

Saw the exact same one at Costco for $149. I'm still in the inquiry stage of mobile living (scouting for a vehicle, etc.) but this seems like&nbsp;such a nice item and a great price I'm thinking of buying one while they are still available at Costco to be prepared. What do you think?<br /><br...

    How about this van...

<p>So do you mean that any van that has a high top installed is called a class B?</p>

    How about this van...

It's funny you mention the class B because that's also what I'm looking into, but most Class B's have curved roofs, so where do you put solar? I currently have my heart set on solar. I want to be as self contained as possible.

    How about this van...

<br />Well it does sound confusing, but logical.&nbsp; The laser thing may be a bit&nbsp;too much for me.&nbsp; Is it easy to tell if it has 2 or 4 main block, or can I tell with a carfax report or any other way? I wish I was as savy as you. Here's the seller's description:<br />'91 Chevy G20 with...

    How about this van...

<br />Yeah, I agree. I will insist to the seller to drive it to my mechanic. I hope it's still available.

    How about this van...

My mechanic said about $100-150 to check out a vehicle, at the shop, about 20-25 minute drive from this van. I left email to seller but no response yet.

    How about this van...

<p>1991 Chevy Sportsvan, propane and electric hookups and 15 gal water tank. 153k miles. Seller asking $4000. Kelly lists 1992 Sportsvan at about $1600 tops private party. I figure with the high top and propane maybe offer $2500-$3000. This would be my first venture into van living to get a feel...

HELP PLEASE: I am still deciding if a van would be the right vehicle for me to travel the US, Canada, Mexico, and maybe

<br />Why do you think that Nissan NV is so bad? Would you buy a Used Sprinter several years old with a lot of mileage over a new Nissan for the same price? That's one of my current dilemmas.
  20. F

Should high mileage vans be avoided?

<br />Got any pics of your Sprinter, especially the inside? Thanks everyone for the feedback.
