-they're the real deal.
someone here has one in their van & he says a lot of good things about it...
I think it may be blakjack or 4x4chevy or someone else-I can't remember, but he had a link to Amazons website-

I've looked at these units myself and, if I had to outfit a rig, it would be a 'no-brainer'. Just maintain clearance around sides and back and, just like a woodstove, maybe add a bit of sheathing around sides/back to keep things cool. ..Willy.

the oven unit cannot be used in your van because of the heat it puts off, a big fire hazard... I have seen these run and look to be cooking/baking just fine... Two concerns are, is it weather proof and what kind of space will it take up in a van...

I bought it today at Costco for the $149 but my concern is the space it will take up and more importantly is the weight, especially since posters here have said you need to it outside to use the oven part. Isn't it a hassle to carry that hefty thing outside to do that? It was such a bargain and it looked so great I couldn't resist even though I haven't even bought a van yet. I'm just kind of getting things prepared.

Its 32 pounds (about 4 gallons of water say), that's not a lot if you just plan to use it near the van but not in it. I wouldn't want to carry it too far though. Maybe keep it near the back door/slider so you just gotta lower it out.

Just ran into a buddy of mine on the road yesterday and he picked up one of those units a while ago.. and loves it! He's living outta the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and what he did was get some slider-rails and make a shelf that can extend out the back (like I had with my Waeco cooler, which is where he got the idea). He lifts the hatch and slides it out, then rotates it 90 deg. PRESTO!! ..Willy.
