should I get a storage unit?

Cargo trailer is a great option.  Throw a bed and cooking area in the trailer and you can live with your bike, or have room for girl friend.  ;_)

    Who's behind your user name

My first name is Janna and last name starts with B. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. This is a lot easier than past names: Dube, jahungafer, Squaw, Fairy Godmother, Crackawhip ....that have happily fell to the wayside along with my 62 years.

I also agree with rvpopeye, nothing better than snuggling with your dog's on cold nights. But make sure you don't let all your water freeze so coffee can be made in the morning. Seriously you will be able to make it all come together and have fun.

    the real me

Have you thought about picking up a cargo trailer to tow behind your truck. It's lightweight and nice to make tea in when the weather is rip roaring.

Hello! In prep mode on the Great White Beast.

What a great start down the road.  When you get to the next RTR, you will fit right in with a WHITE van.  You'll understand when you get there.  I'm proud of you and maybe we will meet up.

You can do this. Since you had the courage to find and buy such a nice rig, shows me, you were on the waggontrains heading west. Happy trails.

What else will I need for 2+ weeks on road

Can you sleep in your car? Try to relax and know that every town has stores to get the things you really need. For peace of mind-road side service, like AAA, just in case. Have fun with the great country drive.

I must have been driving right in front of you. What did you think of The Ocala National Forest? Did you swim in the Salt Springs? Wish I was still in Ehrenburg.

RV's are just that Recreation Vehicles

I like the milk crate for a foot stool. This tells me you are thinking and practical. Milk crates can have many uses: a sit upon, tool carrier, trap for catching food, basket for bicycle, dirty clothes carrier,..... My sink is made from a flower pot with a section of garden hose for the drain...
