Hello from Rbgtag

    Hi Scott and Welcome!

As I read your post I was thinking "A Lazy Daze would be perfect."

Low and behold, the top item on the classified is a Lazy Daze. Take a look at this:

http://www.cheddaryeti.com/2013/01/31/lazy-daze-class-c-rv-for-sale/

I don't know...

    Peanut Butter and Jelly

We eat a LOT of pb. Just an FYI - Adams and Laura Scudder are all made by Smuckers. I actually called Smuckers one time about Adams. The difference between the three items is the darkness of the roast. Smuckers is darkest, Laura Scudder is next and Adams is lightest...

    Opinion on a Van

82k on an ice cream truck. That means a LOT of idling and low rpms. Not good for a diesel. Missing out on it may be a blessing in disguise. Diesel repairs are expen$ive.

Good luck - you'll find something.

    Opinion on a Van

Looks Great! Diesel and only 82k miles. Sounds great too. Is there any chance he may be interested in a trade for your RV?

Oops - did not catch your thought about trading at the beginning of the thread...

    Hi Everyone

Welcome Rob! I looked up the definition of a derelict. It says "A person without a home, job, or property". Sounds pretty good to me! The only problem I see is that if you get a van you will have a home and property, so I guess you won't qualify <img...

    Conserving letters

It's off beat enough to trigger thoughts of spam. I interpret it as they are just having fun asking if you recycle used digital letters (characters) or just throw them away.

Thinking green digitally - cool!

Arg, grr. Could use some advice from sages.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of the troubles but I can relate. As to the truck trailer combo. Could work real good. One suggestion tho - find the trailer and then get the truck. If you get the truck first you may be limiting yourselves in the trailer...

A Day in the Life of a Dweller...

How does a 'dweller spend their day? Not looking for a blog here, just a sample of a 'typical' day, if there is such an animal.

Here's ours:

We are full-time RVers. We travel around the country doing multi-month stints at state and national parks. Usually we have...

anybody living in travel trailers with no truck to haul them?

One more thing I forgot to mention: Most parks have their long term spots metered for electricity. That cost is in addition to the cost of renting the site.

In Austin, the park had to charge the same amount as the electric company. They are not power companies...

anybody living in travel trailers with no truck to haul them?

We lived in a commercial campground in Austin, TX for four years before we retired and hit the road. You can ask any park for a tour. They do it all the time. Also ask about the electricity - do they have 30 and 50 amps? Ask if there are any issues with water or sewer...

1988 Nissan Stanza wagon - Dina

Great ideas. Makes traveling in a small economical rig a real option.

A thought occurred to me regarding the tape and legs. In the current configuration the tape is actually only adhering to the top layer of paint. It is conceivable that strong wind, such as highway...

    comment on Girl's room

Ditto. Also, read Bob's points about creating the area and his reverence for the ladies. Kudos to him.

Just know that we guys will be lurking occasionally. Perhaps we can get an insight to the inner workings of a group that so intrigues and wows, and yet again so...

Buying a TT this fall to live in FT

You ain't going to believe the sense of and actual freedom. You'll be saying "I shouldda done it earlier!"

We did it 6 years ago and have not looked back. Best thing we ever did and indeed we frequently say "our only regret is we shouldda done it 20 years ago."

Welcome...

beware of ham radio sales - used

Good Luck with the credit card dispute. Hope it works out.

Not accepting Paypal or money orders but they do accept cc makes me more concerned about the cc info than even the purchase. I'd certainly discuss this with the cc company. Also, see if they will put a freeze on...

    Niall's Adventure

Niall - This is in reference to your car, not your job issue.

I replaced an alternator one time just to begin blowing fan belts like you did. After a couple new and blown belts I realized that the belt pulley on the new alternator was the wrong size - too narrow. The edges of...
