    Feeling discouraged (angry, actually)

I bought my van a month ago - my husband, whom I am separated from, was suppose to go with me to bring it home and he is suppose to fix it, (put a new serpentine belt and tensioner pulley on it). I don't have the money to spare for a mechanic due to being on a fixed income and wanting to do the...

    Starting small

Welcome from NE Ohio (at least for now). I am pretty new myself but, I have already learned so much being here and everyone has been great at answering my questions. I also have a mini van (2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager) - getting ready to start taking the interior apart next week - unless of...

    Storing herbs & spices

Though I am not FTing yet, when we do take camping trips, I have a Sterilite Sweater tote that is full of labeled baby food jars of my spices, and I am able to also store other kitchen stuff in it to keep the jars from banging around.

    Hello!

Bob, I might be out of place here, especially since I am still quite new myself, but in my mind, I am thinking it might be a great idea if you set up a forum to be used specifically for questions (and answers) directed to Renogy so as not to have a wild mess throughout the entire forums, plus it...

    Not sure what I need.........

Thank you all for your responses - though I have to admit, science was never meant for me and I am so confused - even more so now - LOL - well, maybe my husband understands more about it than me - all I do know for sure is that due to my health and need to keep meds cold, I have to have a fridge...

    Not sure what I need.........

I will have a small-portable refrigerator, my laptop/printer, a small-portable heater, small fan (heater and fan will not be running at the same time), and charging my cell phone - can any of you experienced with solar tell me if this kit will work...

    Hello from Ohio.....

I like the idea of using the back door as a deck. Hello, Matlock - I am on the eastern line of the state as well - just in from Sharon, PA. I am just in the conversion planning stage (mini van) - but, am hoping to be on the road by May. Good luck with your project and be safe on the roads. :-)

SSI & vandwelling? (not sure if this is where I should ask...

Are there any here that simply receive SSI and find that you can't live in "society's idea of housing" on what you get? How do you survive? I know in Ohio, you can still get SSI and be homeless but, will they cut my benefits down - I don't know. . As far as surviving, I know I can do it on the...

New and confused about what to use...

Thank you, Bob. The three drawer containers I am looking at are 26" tall - like you said - until I start measuring, I can only picture it in my head........I am seriously believing it was your friend's picture that caught my eye and mind to do it that way. :D

New and confused about what to use...

These are the diagrams of my plans - whether they will work or not is left to be seen - I have to get the van home and start doing measurements before I will know for sure.

New and confused about what to use...

Thank you both for your responses. After reading them several times and then thinking on your advice, this is what I have decided to do/not do: 1) not going to bother with the "slide-in box"; 2) building a plywood wall at the hatchback - this will serve a couple of purposes - it will allow me to...

New and confused about what to use...

I have a mini van that I plan to convert to a camper for full-timing. I don't want to or plan to tear out the interior of the sides or roof so I am in need of knowing what is best to insulate, keep away condensation, and avoid the whole nasty mold/mildew mess - my plans are to build "a box" that...

    Installing a Wall

In the craft stores you can buy a flexible strip that you can form your curves with and then use the strip as a template for marking the curves onto your cardboard or plywood, or whatever you use. And now that I see this is an older post, I will back out of here and keep reading - LOL.
