When you are rolling all over it's hard to have a trusted mech nearby, and people retire/go out of business too. Another thing is a new tendency not to take in large vehicles because of some new insurance demands on weight limits for using their existing lifts, so a larger vehicle got to be especially reliable. Good mechanics in the West tend to be booked solid for weeks too now. Reliability is a #1 thing definitely. You gotta understand your own vehicle or have a very trusted mechanic... else when somethings goes wrong, they'll bleed you.
