I have some friends in your area that might be able to help you with your van. You're only about 30-45 minutes from Lake Somerville. My family is in Willis, TX (1 hour north of Houston ..30 min south of Huntsville, TX). If you get in too tight a spot let me know. I'm a contractor ("work camper"...

Here is my electricity plan, feedback needed!

For your lighting I suggest Luci Lights that are solar and recharge themselves. I just put mine on the dash during the day and they last all night. Depending on the inside square footage of your rig one or two will plenty most likely. Then you can save battery juice since they each have their...

    Rebuild my van?

First I recommend that you have a compression check done on the engine (If the mechanic did not do one). This will tell you alot about the condition of the engine. Also, no matter what you do if you keep it is to get you a couple of really really strong magnets and put one on the bottom of each...

What do I use on my roof?

Very Well ! I have had my camper waxed for 8 months. I'm stay in the southeast Texas /Louisiana mostly and it has not yellowed or degraded any. And this wax is probably 7-10 times thicker than the wipe on wipe off stuff. Just be warned....when you put in on..it's staying on. It takes the ZEP...

What do I use on my roof?

I have experience in this. Very fast and cheap way to seal and UV protect the top. Believe it or not ...ZEP Brand Wet-Look Floor Polish. You just wash the top really good then mop it on with a sponge mop (wrap a micro fiber towel over the sponge). One gallon is $25 at Lowes. Put in on straight...

Thanks for the pic! I'm looking for a shuttle bus now. But could be flipped without actually taking them off completely. Then...

Grand Plan Lightest Cargo Trailer Goal

I feel the need to let you know that if you're buying a new cargo trailer and there is a weight issue. Make sure you find out what the weight is allowed in the nose of the trailer (might be separate from the tongue weight. I had one. I didn't pay attention to the "warning/notice" decal sticker...

    C-Head

I hope not to get off topic. But has anyone ever cut a hole in the floor pan of the rig and inset the shower pan in there? Then it could be covered up with a floor board when not in use. I know much will depend on how much clearance there is under the floor of rig.
