12V Socket to charge Jackery 1000

Last trip Jackery stopped charging from the 12v socket on van dash. Since I have 2 sockets: use one for Jackery and one for Garmen. I swapped the Jackery and GPS cords and Jackery started charging and the Garmen worked fine too. Any ideas on why? Connection at the Jackery never changed. Thanks!!

Switching from dual purpose to deep cycle: advice?.

Also charge from alternator when in tow! Sorry...I assumed that was standard, but I found it is not always the case.

Positioning trailer for backing into site

I find all types of videos concerning the nuances of backing a camper, all of which have been most helpful. And practice is what is it all about, I agree. But the one problem I'm still grappling with is this: where do I position the trailer BEFORE I begin to back into the site! I find myself...

    Part-timer: is solar really best?

Thanks for ideas!! Certainly extended periods (weeks), but have obligations that will bring me back to home base for a week...then back out again. Probably home longer during Christmas holiday. I'm not the high energy user at all, so I though solar good choice. BUT, wasn't sure what to do when...

    Part-timer: is solar really best?

Anticipate part-time nomad initially due to family obligations. So wonder: what do I do with solar panels/batteries when I'm not on road and in my sticks and brick? Thinking I should start out with generator, but appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!!
