simple/solo boondocking: Promaster 159 high roof

Shade is a premium out West and in FL too!  My vote goes to free Li-ion energy and roof top ac's. Think how lucky those dogs would feel? Almost better than a 'live' Chinese dog! Hroo Hrorry...

I found a cot that will work for my small space

And it won't do that, believe me. It's an expensive lesson, since they don't give those away.

    Putt

Putts, Who is guiding you on your electronics, or are you doing like Gordon Solie would say, just using Intestinal Fortitude with a little Catch-as-Catch-Can wrestling style? It's looking impressive. Lots of copper in those wires!

    Building Arabella

Putts Cool! Great build, Beth. Our taste in cabinetry run along similar lines. My rig is gray and white as well.   Holy Batman, I thought it WAS the Putts-mobile With a curve in the counter from going Warp 10 speeds. SLOW DOWN! :D Great Job Beth.

Looks great! You have working plumbing:) Plumbing is hard for me, since not much rv-van help on the web and/or not commercialized into easy use products for slow learners like me, doah!

    DIY Awning

That depends on both accounts. It is mechanically attached, for instant Deployment which is it's strength. As for diy, anything on a conversion is diy from an engineer's viewpoint. Taking a brand-new generic product and successfully applying it diy, imo. I earlier saw product links in the...

    DIY Awning

Unlike KW's original example, what about a push button Dometic 9100 Power Awning? Then you would have it down in 5 seconds, use it more, and get more cool fresh air  And it's 70 lbs: instead of 700 lbs making a 1 ton van lean over :D It also has an automatic wind retractor they have...

Sorry if I missed them because you have been expedient, but your boondock plan had: 1.  hot water.  Dump load or solar heating would be a nice plus! 2.  minimal shower in wet bathroom.  Aisle shower if I must. ================================================ My progress observations: 1. Even...

What can I do in a month?

100% Polyester is almost as good as wool, except you can machine wash it for cheap! It's usually pretty cheap to buy in all clothing, scarves, blanket, comforters, ... And it does not scratch you like wool may (the kind of wool I can afford anyway. And it filters emf too.

    Protecting animal pets foods

Annie W After search here found nothing, & not having time to check all 13 pages of threads here, am asking re your animal pets... HOW do you assure their food supplies are Safe ? For Chinese dog food, I think you do that with an antifreeze tester.

Don't know what I don't know about the desert

Most don't make it through the many retirement home buildings popping up everywhere. At least they can vaporize now  before they kick the bucket

    Heat in a car

I thought the thread said, "Heat in a can" and I thought someone was using Sterno fuel cans. No such luck.    :(

    Rebuild my van?

If you've ever been behind the scenes at a nursing home, I'd hold on to your steering wheel, do holistic health habits starting now, don't do allopathic drugs (destructive Western medicine), and I'd think your chances and your health will be as good as you can possibly hope for otherwise. Ymmv...
