Hey ya'll

So i attended an interview today with Zoomer.  They're a rather newer company but already have many central locations that they do food delivery out of.  It was a really informative session, and the question I asked was, "can you do this in any city?" and the answer was yes.  I assume a job with a similar company like Grub Hub is like this.  It's basically like Uber, but for food.  You need a smart phone so you can download their app, but you also let them know when you want to work, make your own hours, etc.  The pay is really good too.  I would suggest anyone who wants this type of job to look into it, it's not like pizza delivery where you're an employee and have a schedule.  You can be in any location that they are stationed in (basically an area where they have contracts with restaurants) and work.  It's still small like I said so there's not a lot of competition against other drivers to get orders, but it's growing quickly.  Anyway, i'm excited to start and see how it works out with my travels this summer.  Check out my youtube, i'll keep video updates (link in profile).  Cheers.

Interviewer: Where will you carry the food?
Applicant: In my van!
Interviewer: Oh, yeah, you should have plenty of room.
Applicant: Yeah; I never wanted to put any of my own stuff on top of my toilet or in the shower since it would block access, but this is perfect since it'll just be there while I'm making a run!

:)

Right, you do use your own vehicle for this, and they said it doesn't matter what it is (unlike uber), just as long as it runs. Could be really great job for van dwellers.

Amazon is starting a package delivery program too. I'm on the list to be notified when it comes to this area.

It's called Amazon Flex and pays around $18 to $25 an hour. There's another one out there that is like a gopher of some kind, can't remember the name at the moment. You pick up food, office supplies and what ever is needed.
