Zika Virus in Florida

Are any of us in Florida now ?   What have you heard there ?   Any travelers warnings or advisories ?

I'm in FL, only thing I've heard is that the CDC is issuing a travel advisory, today, for the Miami-Dade area.

Since I am not of child bearing age I am not worried at all.

Since it can be passed to a loved one, perhaps a modicum of concern is in order.

I don't watch network TV, or listen to much radio, so haven't seen or heard anything here in North Florida. I need to check online local news.

I posted this Thread as a FYI "heads up" and nothing more.   It's now 1:00 am  EDT and 10 pm yesterday the CDC posted this information about Zika in Miami Dade.

I think Queen is quite correct in what he's saying about "transmission" of this virus.

My sister is a pathology lab tech, working with microbugs. She gives me warning of anything happening locally. I will check with her.
