Okay, so we left Texas and spent a few days at Jack's Creek Campground north of Pecos, New Mexico. Had it pretty much to ourselves. Gorgeous country but verrrry remote. No phone, no internet and about 25 miles into Pecos for whatever you might need. Moved on and spent the night at Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff, AZ and then moved on to Camp World in Bakersfield, Ca for a night. Landed south of San Francisco where we stayed at a Mt. Madonna county park. Nice place and really quiet. Got 30 amp and water for $20 per night. Stayed about 2 weeks so we could visit my son in San Francisco. Moved up Hwy 50 and found a cool little park called China Flat east of Pollack Pines. Right on the American River where we did some gold panning ( a few flakes, nothing to get excited about). We are doing Yellowstone this week and having a blast. Tons of buffalo, some right in the middle of the road. More to come..,.
