Xerox Mobile Scanner (wifi):

This is the coolest portable PDF document scanner I've seen in a long time. It's so mobile that it doesn't even need a computer hooked up to it in order to scan. Has an included Wifi SD/Storage card so you can upload scanned documents wirelessly to your smartphone, tablet, or computer. I've been looking for something like this for awhile. Previously, I was going to get the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100, but that particular model requires hooking up to a computer in order to scan. I use a high speed scanner at work, so I'm used to doing tons of scans and emailing attachments as PDF files. In a pinch, I also have a PDF scanner app on my smartphone so that taking a picture of a document gets converted to a PDF file for emailing and sharing. But I've been looking for a truly portable and mobile PDF scanner, and I think this will be the one for me. Just want to share this, as I've been decluttering my life from paper files for the past few years now. I hate paper documents. I love any device that can remove papers from my life. Just wanted to share this for those who enjoy mobile scanning as much as me.

is there a way to use this with a IPHONE?

are there scanners that just have WIFI (adhoc - no router needed) or BLUETOOTH already built in, so wireless?

According to the official Xerox site, the scanner should work for an iPhone. Since I don't use any Apple products myself, I can't confirm. Here's the link:
http://www.xeroxscanners.com/en/us/products/XMS/default.asp?PN=XMS

To answer your other question, this is the only portable PDF scanner that I know of that incorporates the "Eye-Fi" wifi SD memory card, which gives the ability to wirelessly send information to another device. The scanner comes with a smaller 4GB wifi card, but an optional 16GB card can be purchased at Amazon for a higher price. Link here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...le_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Alternatively, the scanner can also use a USB cord plugged from scanner to smartphone (or tablet/computer) to send information if you don't want to use the wifi wireless card. For most Android devices that would mean using a micro-USB cord which is ever-present. But I have no idea if a cord can be used for an iPhone since the newest version uses a new cord design.
