chose my username from Young Frankenstein, one of my fave movies ever
I have a small truck that I am putting a bit into each month, in order to be ready to roll in the Spring. Knowing me, it could be earlier
I don't have a lot, just a small retirement, and honestly, have used "government" programs for the last 2 years (subsidized apartment, EBT card, health insurance/medicaid). I want to be independent and pay my own way, and the only way I think I may be able to do that is to start living on the road. Which is what my heart's desire is anyway. Travel, take photos, and preferably, do seasonal-type jobs. I don't like not working, but it's been really slim pickins for a senior lady for my typical office work. I have done a warehouse job, and one seasonal job out in Wyoming (loved that) and much prefer a good amount of physical labor. I worked as a laundry room assistant for example, and filled bulk nutritional products at the warehouse job.
I love being active. I lost weight, got my cholestrol down, and skip the junk food 99% of the time I have a lot to research in getting started for my new lifestyle, and was happy to find your forum. I can do this, I'm able, and it will just take commitment to make it happen.
I'm divorced (almost 20 years now) no children, but I plan to have a dog, can't wait to find another traveling buddy I lost my girl about 2006 so it's been a long time. I just wasn't ready I suppose.
Anyway, I do hope to meet some peeps here, looking forward to learning about the "life", and maybe sharing some of my limited, but good experiences with traveling on a budget Denise
