Hi all,
I'm wiring my 3 deep cycle batteries in the next few days.  I found this and wanted to know if any of you folks know if it is worth to use the wiring on the second illustration of the battery interconnect  there.

Thank you,

Only if you actually stand a chance trying to get 5-8 years longevity already, that issue is minor compared to the fact that few people always stay above 50% SoC, and get / keep their bank close to 100% recharging each cycle.

If your abuse is murdering the bank every year or two anyway, that balancing issue's too minor to worry about.

First step to even know what's going on is to buy that specific gauge, best on the market by far it appears. I'm looking at getting the SmartBank Advanced that integrates with it.

This video shows why you do not use diagram number one.

I use two 12V batteries and they're connected like the second example. The lines from the charge controller go to the positive terminal of one battery and the negative terminal of the other, and the lines going out use the other terminals.
