Hello all, saturday i am embarking on a 850 mile trip to my college. It should be quite a time as we are in the middle of a decent winter storm. 25cm of snow and -23 temps. So maybe if you think of it, say a quick prayer/shoutout to the Big Guy. Thanks, Peace fellow peoples.

Why Thank you Tara. Peace to you

I made it safe and sound to my destination.I traveled 851 miles in 2 days and averaged 8.51mpg on this trip. The first 250 miles were very icy and she slid around a bit, but the last bit was great i did 55mph for most of it and saw some nice scenery. The starter motor is getting weak and needs replacing as it cranks to slowly when hot, but otherwise works great. im a happy man.

I don't even listen to my own advice LOL.

I'm very warm in bed, it's getting out of it that sucks. The coldest night so far for me was 0 degrees F. BRRR. I did ok tho

Right on Tara! insulation has been key for me here. I purchased a honeywell ceramic heater and it works awesome. It has a thermostat too so i can dial in the heat for comfortable living. The overnight at the truckstop it was -23 or more so i used the Mr buddy on and off all night. Im in northern alberta right now and i have seen -45 here, but usually only for a week or so. Take care, and stay warm im in the process of looking for a good electric blanket for those temps. Peace.

Glad to hear all's well. We're just hitting below freezing temperatures here, after a short Indian summer type weather: 28F this morning. You make that sound like a heat wave lol.

lol, i guess living in Canada my whole life and being in the north country alot you get climatized a certain degree. Its still Damn cold anyway you look at it. Stuff mechanical stops working or works poorly and you fix it in the cold a sort of sick motivation i guess, haha be well all.

Shawn.

You guys should point your nose south and join us in Arizona. As I write this it is 78 degrees with a light breeze.

Haha joey. You know what, your totally right. If it wasn,t for school this year i would be at RTR. Another thing that makes it a pain is the damn border crossing. I should get off my ass and get a passport. My uncle goes every winter and stays until 1st of may too Arizona (Blm) land i think.

Well its damn cold. -23 at 5:30 this morning. Had the rig plugged in all night and it started no problems. Came out later in the day and found that my rear pass side duals were flat. Not sure whats goin on so its a trip to the tire shop for me on saturday. Every little weakness/annoyance will unfortunately rear its ugly head in this kind of cold weather. I envy those of you in the warm states, lol but it is what it is. Stay warm and safe, fellow road warriors.

There were 12 or 13 at the Thanksgiving dinner Bob and Steve threw today. The high was supposed to be 80 and now after sunset at 7:05 it is 67 here in Quartzsite. You guys are heading in the wrong direction, come on down!
