As the title suggests, I am trying to find this window ... stuff.

I tried autoparts stores and home depot.  They where baffled.

I'm guessing it's window seal?  Weatherstripping?

This stuff is pulling away at some corners, is not so flexible, and pretty brittle so I would like to replace it while the back is all stripped.

Where can I get it and what is it called?

It a 79 E150 van.

Thanks all!

Auto paint shops usually have that stuff. We have one here called space age paint in Mesa. Has just about every trim known to man on rolls sold by the foot.

I would reinstall it, unless you cut that piece off . use a heat gun to stretch the rubber back into place. if it pops back out then I would be trying to find new stuff. highdesertranger

Well, this is frustrating.

I have been looking at pics of window gasket online and I haven't found this kind. I just got off the phone with an RV Window service company and he pretty much told me they would have to replace the whole window!!!???

Um, no. >:/

It is always been my intention to replace it, I'm just running into trouble finding it.

Try glass shops. I had a custom mirror replaced with new gaskets for $10. Many of them have big rolls of the stuff laying around.

RV specialty places are high dollar.

It requires the name of the conversion company to get what manufacturer was used for the aftermarket windows.

Thanks everyone!

After many calls I was directed to an auto glass place. They gave me a couple sample pieces to try and one fits! It'll run me about $2ft

Happy day!
:D
