Did you do a before and after weigh-in of your van? If so, what is the weight of all your buildout plus possessions plus supplies? If you did, could you share van info and a rough description of your buildout and other contents?

A good place to weigh your vehicle is a local small town grain elevator...After 5:00 in the off seasons, they are closed, and you can still drive up on the scales, and get a digital weight on the overhead display. I have done this with my Excursion, and 32' camper (17,000# completely loaded down). I was also able to figure out my tongue weight by leaving the camper wheels off the scale (only weighing the truck while still attached to the camper), and then weighing the Excursion without the camper hooked on.

I weighed my van recently and got a total weight of 7500 lbs (900 lbs over GVW of a 3/4 ton chassis). I do not know how much it weighs empty so I can't say how much the build and cargo are.

One thing I will say is that I wish I took the weight of the build materials into MORE consideration when doing the build. We dropped a few hundred pounds recently and have plans to drop another couple hundred when I can redo the floor

My 2002 GMC Savana 2500 weighed in at 7,350 when I had it weighed for the purpose of having the title converted to RV.

The build was already done and I wasn't taking the time to remove all the batteries, fridge, freezer and all the rest of my stuff, leave it in my sons' driveway and then pack it back in again up so empty weight for title became fully loaded weight.... I did remove the portable solar panels, 10 gallons of water and the Honda generators and then quit in a hurry when I realized how much stuff I had... :D

The build is fairly extensive as compared to most vans I've seen. Full 5 drawer pantry, kitchen sink, 65 qt fridge and freezer units, 4 T105RE batteries, C-Head  separating toilet. But I did use 1/2" plywood on most of the build.

Curb weight for an Express is 5,225 to 6,408 lbs, depending on the model, engine and length.

I had to provide a weigh slip to the dMV to get my Peterbilt converted from a commercial title to an RV title here in Michigan. I went to a glass recycling plant in town and they were more than happy to help me out, for free! My vehicle, loaded and wet, was just under 22,000 pounds.

You could also go to a CAT Scale at a truck stop but they charge $8 or so.

Have a 1 ton 10' Cutaway Box Van, not comparable to a all metal Van, so
back in 2016, after 85% of the build complete I had 2- 100 watt solar panels, 2- 6V Duracells/controller/charger/cabinet. Wiring/Fantastic fan, 1-1/2" of insulation and then 1x8 pine paneling, a bed from same wood, single burner propane stove and 8 1lb. propane bottles, 2 pans, a kettle and 112 Lbs. of tools. I pulled into a semi weigh station after I filled up the fuel tank.

The truck GVW, (Gross Vehicle Weight) on the door panel says 8600 Lbs. Actual weight on the scale including me and 33 Gal of fuel was 7080 Lbs.

I now carry in addition to the above, 15 Gal of water a 20# and a 11# propane tank, 2 additional solar panels, truckfridge, microwave, pots/kettles/ propane stove/ wave 3 heater, food, clothes and a genny-in-a-box adding an additional 455 Lbs. Or 7535 Lbs. total.

Weight scale ticket gives the weigh of front/rear and total of the vehicle. Nice to know what is on the front half of the truck. Ideally for me is to keep it 50/50 on this truck. Drives more better.

Hah, my build is very very simple. A few plastic bins for storage, a foldable cot and some sleeping bags, a plastic-molded fish-cleaning sink, a couple of 5-gallon buckets. My entire setup probably weighs less than *I* do--and most of that is the battery for the solar panel system.
