Hello Bob!
I am on a strict budget, where are places to park for free a couple days in a row?
I can't afford to travel every day, thanks Jan

[note: This post moved from the "Introduction" section to the "Parking" section.]

Hi and welcome Jan. I use this site to find free parking/camping places -- http://freecampsites.net.

Also, a member here recently posted a map of free places. Check out his post here -- https://vanlivingforum.com/post/Sharing-our-Boondocking-and-Overnighting-Sites-6426323

Hope this helps in your search for places to park.

Suanne

I think it depends a lot on where you live. If you live on the east coast you have way less choices for free places to stay for any length of time.

Ive move twice a day and rotate places daily and still ran into resistance twice.

Hi. Maybe this is already info you all have, but in case it isn't... there is a websie www.boondockerswelcome.com. They do carge a yearly fee sround 20$. People sign up and offer their driveways, yards or fields. While you are traveling you can look on their site and see who is close to where you will be staying. They let you stay there for free. Some have hookups some don't. I have not used it but am going to register my yard as a place to stay. Has anyone used this? Nora

Also a question. I cannot seem to find a way to post to this forum other than respond to someone else's post. What am I missing?

that boondockerswelcome site looks interesting but the google maps don't work. I would also love to hear if anyone has any experience with that site.

Jaxtonsgram- to start a topic, select the appropriate forum and their should be a button in the upper right corner "start a new topic".

Let me know if that works for you!

Ive had people request to use my boondockers welcome spot (i think im the only one in WV)...but as of right now i don't have a spot since im full timing. I will lose my founder membership if i delist it, so i just put it as unavailable i think. People do seem to be using the site successfully though.
