Not Patrick but when I quit caffeine intake (it was Coke products but still!), I not only had a headache from caffeine withdrawal, I also ended up on the couch by 7 PM sleeping soundly.

It took several days for the headache to go away and several more days before I wasn't zonking out long before bedtime!

I wasn't a huge coffee drinker, like my Buddy is. 7pm and he's walking around with a Big Gulp size coffee.

I had my 2 nice sized cups in the morning, which I then went down to 1 small cup in the morning, and did this for a week. So once I did finally stop actually drinking coffee, it didn't hit me as hard as I thought it would. (Thank Heavens!!!)

I too was afraid of the headaches, but they never really came.

I just wanted to get away from another addiction that I had, and I don't think the acid was doing my stomach any good.

The next habit to kick will be MUCH harder than quitting either coffee, or cigarettes............

SUGAR!!!

and I LOVE my chocolate!! :p

I'm a chocolate fiend as well.  Luckily I jones for Lindt 85% dark.  Only 1.25 grams of sugar in a nice big square.

Being a serious nutrition fan I can tell you that as long as your simple carbs do not exceed 9 grams in an hour the insulin release that is at the root of all the sugar disorders does not happen.

Enjoy!
