Woke up in the back of my van this AM, locally, in York ME, in the middle of the fourth snow event since Spring.

I'm stuck in western Oklahoma, for now. Have only one state done, will be traveling a lot when the big RV sells, though. :)

San Diego. I'll be leaving in a couple-three weeks and slowly going up the CA and OR coastline.

Just outside of Prescott, AZ. This weekend I start my summer travels. First stop is Monument Valley (made famous by John Wayne and John Ford). Then some cliff-dwellings in Utah and then Moab Utah until it gets too hot.

Central Oregon, leaving next Wednesday and headed south to Sequoia National Forest, for workamping, then who knows? As of now, I plan to spend the winter in AZ. But at this point I've learned not to make too many set-in-stone plans.

Tucson, leaving for Cottonwood, Az this weekend.
Over the next month I'll be making a leisurely trek to Or to pick up Margie.
Discussing spending some time it Washington this summer.

In the Columbia Basin in Central WA.  Heading to eastern Oregon in a couple of weeks as soon as the sale on my sticks and bricks closes.  I'll be spending the  summer locating and setting up a new base camp, then come fall wander south for the winter.  Who knows might I might even make an appearance at the RTR.

Congrats, Howie, on the sale of your S&B! Hope to see you at the RTR next winter.

Florida pan handle, Panama City Beach. Coming to the close of my two week trip, back to S&B Monday.

Springfield Missouri.

I am helping my children out and setting up a base of operations. Getting some medical taken care of before I start the summer rounds.

Won't be long and the snow will be a distant memory. I'm just south of you and it's raining. Next 7 days in the 60s!!!

Hi... I do travel and work. I am currently not on the road and working with family. I traveled from age 15 to about 31 out west and south. When on the road I did other kinds of work I am not doing now, bartending, cleaning rooms, painting, odd jobs to keep my traveling going. Always felt relatively safe, always have traveled with a dog, sometimes a guy, I prefer the dog :D My advice or whatever for myself having done it all before is to SAVE MONEY before getting on the road. I am a bit older now and body a bit worn down from surgery now, so I don't want to have to scramble around making money all along the way. Since I am here now and working now I am trying to prepare a bit better than when I was younger and went off with a few hundred dollars in my pocket. I absolutely don't want to burden family or friends when...and they will come up, situations arise, vehicle breakdown, vet bill, whatever. I see on youtube all these younger folks asking for donations for their travels, it is embarrassing. In the time it takes to set up a donation fund and all just waiting around for handouts, they could be hard at work. But that is just my opinion, apparently some have no shame. No way would I want or ask someone else to fund my dream or lifestyle. So my big tip is save as much as you can, while you can. Hope you find the perfect van for yourself!! The hunt is half the fun! Peaceful today!

hey I forgot to ask, where are you wanting to travel to? Anywhere specific or just wander? Peace!
