I know I've seen people recommend some wire pass-thru's here, but all I'm finding is basically one choice on Amazon: Double Cable Entry Gland

Perhaps there's another name for these that I'm not searching right. I'd like one that will pass 2 x 10awg wires through roof. If there's a 4 wire one, that'd be nice too.
The one above is inexpensive and I'd prefer to spend a bit more for quality on such an item.
thanks!

look in the marine industry. http://www.westmarine.com/search?Ntt=cable+clams . I have had good luck with these. it seems they are all pre cut and drilled, now. you used to cut and drill them yourself so you could put as many(up to 4) or as few wires as you wanted. anyhoo I would look at the marine industry. highdesertranger

I think I found the flavor that isn't pre-drilled: CableClam 1.40"

I only say that because the install instructions in link say to drill it out, as well as slice it. So if I wanted to run multiple wires through, I'm sort of picturing individual holes, spaced maybe 1/4" and all sharing the split. Or maybe I wouldn't split it, just snip off the MC4 connectors since they don't connect to controller like that anyway. Or maybe one larger hole and goop it with 5200.

I can't tell if I could mount the entire clam to roof with just adhesives or not? Hope so, as otherwise I'd need 4" screws with a backing plate inside...

it should come with instruction. you need to drill the whole a little bigger than the wire, because it's rubber the size of the hole will be smaller than the drill bit. mine came with a backing plate. use stainless screws. you need to use screws because the rubber is cone shaped and the piece it mounts in has the opposite shape so as you tighten it the rubber squeezes making a water tight seal. highdesertranger
