that only applies to those who consider monogamy for life some sort of ideal, like religions tell us.
To me every relationship has a beginning and end, and trying to hold on too long is not just a waste of precious time but can cause a lot of needless suffering.
IMO getting the legal paper should only be for legal / financial reasons, why the institution was invented in the first place.
But others of course feel differently, maybe made heartfelt promises that turned out to be unrealistic. Go easy on yourselves out there. . .
