I say it's a wire lock clevis pin, but I think there are going to be a few accepted terms.

They go by a couple of names, but if you want to find them online, just search 'wire lock pins'...

we always called them "hitch pins" but that is not technically correct. if you search "trailer coupler pin" you will find them. highdesertranger

They are available with both rounded and square bales. Most hardware stores sell them, as well as places like TSC if you don’t want to get them online. They vary by shaft diameter and length.

I always thought of them as "Bail pins" but that is not what they are called.

..of course, I also think of the Vacuum Advance as the 'shiny-UFO-distributor-thingy' so I'm not the person to ask.. lol

The names have been covered well. I know then as clevis pins as well. You can get them at Tractor sales and supply stores.
