:D I have been watching Bob's videos, and other vandwellers' vids for 3 weeks now and found my way to the forums. I have no real idea how to use the forum, but I am hopeful. So hi to everyone, some of whom I feel I "know" from your vlogs...as in how I "know" the actors on tv shows, except you all seem very real. So my husband and I recently got back from Yellowstone and now want to travel all the time. We are needing info on lots of topics, and so I got brave and registered on the forum. I thank Bob, and all of you for this great sharing of ideas.

From one granny to another, welcome! I loved reading your intro. Growing into the nomadic life because you love it is the best way! I got hooked that way myself, been at it 4 years now and never looked back. This is a fun forum because there is such a variety of folks who discover the nomadic lifestyle for so very many reasons. I love reading the stories of how people arrived here.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of support here for the inevitable questions that come up, or simply support when you need it.

Blessings for safe AND exciting adventures!

Welcome to the CRVL forums Crochetgranny! You're doing great finding your way around the forum! Yellowstone will definitely make you want to travel more - it's so beautiful.
Feel free to ask about anything. Just post under the forum that best fits your question.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Glad to meet you, Crochet Granny.

My wife and I are also newbies and want-to-be nomads. We're planning our first rig right now with the goal of being at least semi-nomadic come spring. The first rig will be primitive and cheap while we figure out whether or not we want to go all-in. (I'm inclined toward "yes".)

I'm also pretty new to this particular forum. What I've perceived so far is a friendly and encouraging crowd, willing to engage and give pertinent feed-back.

Welcome. Glad you are going nomadic :) the freedom is wonderful.
We aren't getting any younger is so true, lol, go for it!!

"I’m a Grandma, too, and also crochet."

Thanks for the translation....I read it as "Crochety Granny" LOL!

I prefer to just stay young. I've decided to just stay 19 forever. So in a few months I'll turn 19--for the 39th time.

:)

yup, me too. but then I look in the mirror.  what a joke.  near 60 now and it ain't like my age 21 look.  I choose 21 so I can legally drink......21 forever  :p

I'm NOT a grandma nor do I crochet, but, welcome to the group. Jeanne and I have been living in our 1992 GMC G3500 van full time since August ( which is the wrong time of year in Florida) we love it!!! My last work day is December 29th then we will head to Arizona.
Good luck with your journey

What do you mean "ain't getting any younger", I have more in common with my great-grandson that I do with my son.... No hair, no teeth and I pee my pants.

You start out in diapers and end up in diapers. The begging and the end are pretty much the same,

When you hear people say they slept like a baby, does it mean they woke up every two hours and cried?

Hi! Thanks for your response. I love your quotation. It is one I have used for many years! Kindred!

I seem to be very confused on how to do this. I was trying to reply to the Dire Wolfess' post. Heehee. So, in case it didn't go thru: Hi! I love your quotation. Used it for many years!!

Sometimes. But I don't sleep like a baby. It's like you have been rummaging around in my mind. Which may lead you down weird paths. Thanks for the message!

You did just fine! When we meet on the road, we can put that quotation to the test [emoji106]

Welcome from another old-enough-to-have-grandchildren-but-don't crocheter! :p
I'm working on a double layer Simply Soft winter blanket, because crochet is great for trapping warm air while allowing moisture to escape. It works great under a quilt, fleece or comforter when temperatures dip. :D
