Wherever I hang my hat.
Sitting hear outside Zion freezing my a$$ off cause my heater shut down. Just filled the tank before leaving St. George and am some what at a loss to know the reason for this.
Are there any kindred spirits that have had this happen and what was their fix ?
My first impulse when the sun comes up is to disconnect the hose and run the end outside open the valve and blow it out for a minute to see if there is any water in the line. Failing that I'll  be groping in the cold and dark looking for guidance.

One reason I got the Wave heater was because they were more reliable and had fewer cut off safety devices. I did notice that they recommended a debris drop tube be installed at the inlet of the unit. There are some cheap hoses that deteriorate internally, the good ones have a special type tube inside the hose, I believe it is blue colored, again I believe it is covered in one of Bob's videos. I was able to get a filter for the Buddy heater and it did clog while using the cheaper style hose but I don't know of a filter offered for the Wave. I would recommend getting the better hose even if the cheap one still looks good. I have had a water freeze in the line and valve assemblies and cause blockages as well and as expanding gas is cold anyway it is difficult to melt the ice unless you have a warm place to keep them sort of a catch 22 situation. I was passing through Flagstaff one December and at night the extreme cold temps froze up everything. I spent a very uncomfortable night bundled up in my sleeping bag every few hours running the truck to heat the cab. The next morning I bought a heavy duty extension cord and an electric ceramic heater and found a parking place where I could plug in to get everything thawed and headed south. Don't take chances with the cold get to a truck stop or some place you can stay warm. I'm over at Bullfrog Utah and it is going to be cold on and off for the next several days here. Welcome to the frostbite club! LOL!!!

Do you have a filter in the line (hose) or have the approved hose for use with those heaters? IIRC, the non approved hoses have something (oil?) in them that gets into the heater without the approved inline filter and the approved hose doesn't have any of that something so it doesn't need the filter.

I could of course be remembering a different heater. I don't use any of them, I have a furnace.
