Hi everyone, this spring Im planning to take my 1988 Toyota Odyssey to WA. I have been researching rv parks and from what I am seeing most parks only take RV's that are 10 years or newer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should go? I am equipped to dry camp just not sure where bc Im not to familiar with Washington. I would like to be somewhere between Tacoma or as far North as Arlington. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Did you check out WA state parks, they usually don't have any kind of vehicle requirements although  most state parks have 14 day stay limits.

Also, check Freecampsites.com for free or low cost camping in the area you want. Same thing though, most are 14 day stay limit.

If you're looking for something for a whole season without having to move, you are probably limited to privately owned parks.

The only time one normally runs in to that kind of rule is when you're looking at privately owned RV parks - they can make any rules they want and a lot of them have the 10 year rule to prevent them from being stuck with broken down pieces of wreckage on a site that is then abandoned, creating a legal nightmare for the park owner.

Good advice from Almost There!  Another option is to buy a Discover Pass (which you will need to access state parks) that's good for free camping at some DNR and  WDFW sites. It costs between $30.00 and $35.00 depending on where you buy it and is good for a year.

Unfortunately there aren't any DNR sites in the areas you want to visit but there are lot in other areas. Make sure that they have vehicle accessible campsites before you go to one. Here's a map with more information - https://www.dnr.wa.gov/go#camping[/SIZE]

How far east are you willing to go off of I-5? I know there's several RV Parks in Fall City (30 miles east on I-90, Exit 22) and a King County park in Carnation (McDonald) that have hook ups. If you don't need cell access, there are several NF campgrounds on the Mountain Loop Highway east of Arlington/Granite Falls.

How early in the Spring?  The area does get wet and the mountain areas get snow.  Any mountain space close to Seattle will see urban overflow type issues.  Better spots will be to the NE or SE.  I believe both Seattle and Tacoma now have designated camp/park spots, kind of a homeless vibe.

Here are a couple of good options:
