do you know of anyone vandwelling in Hawaii??

I'm thinking about living there from mid-January, till April-ish, (think snowbird)...and when we were on Maui this past spring, I noticed the potential was definately there...especially amongst the surfer community. (and I do surf).
There are free public restrooms on the beaches, and oftentimes, outdoor showers as well.

I'd probably live on the Big Island, as even though Maui was wonderful...I think I'd like a bit more 'elbo room'.

I have heard that citys there (like so many others) are cracking down on squatters, but I probably wouldn't be staying in the citys anyway. Live just a ways out, and commute in when I need.

I'd also like the freedon to be able to pick up and move on at short notice. Finding work while I was there would not present a problem.

any thoughs, stories or experiences anyone can share???

Hi Patrick,

Someone is going to go here, so I'll get it over with: It's gonna take some big floats to get your steppie over there.

You said any thoughts? Seriously, sounds like a great surfers dream come true. Have fun ! Duane

I would ask questions about local conditions on Hawaii Craigslist. You should get pretty good results on local info. Sometimes it's just smarta33 trolls though,LOL.
