Are you planning to keep your dog and cat inside when you are in staying at YARC camp in Quartzsite this fall and winter?

No, thankfully my dog isn’t a digger. She also isn’t litter box trained so will have to go out. I’ll put the fence up again and am going to secure it a bit better and put a gate in it. Although the fence stands on its own it’s a bit of a problem around the doorway and don’t think I could get a fence post in that ground but I can drill some holes for rebar.

Only thing I don’t like about camping out there is my dog losing her freedom. Here in KY she goes where she wants to but stays on the property. She’s never far.

Cammalu... putting up fences is not allowed on BLM dispersed camping land. Best not to talk about digging fence post holes as it could give people ideas that get them in trouble as well as waste their money purchasing rebar.

The ranger said it was ok last year and I saw a lot of people with little dog fences. Wasn’t a problem. The rebar won’t make a bigger hole than a tent stake.

This is good information. Thanks! I’m guessing the LTVA is different then regular BLM on rules.
I took quite a few months to get my dog through a bout with Lymes... don’t want to deal with yet another deal. So will have to educate myself on this.
