Hi guys. So, my husband and I are planning to take a trip to Utah, as he is thinking about being transferred to the Discover Card call center that is in Salt Lake City, and he wants to go see it and get a feel for the area. I mentioned that we might be able to live around at the different state park locations until we could find an RV park that we could live in for 6 months or so, and then move on to another one...But I am a bit confused. Does anyone know if there is an annual state park pass that you can buy in Utah where you pay the annual fee up front (like in NM), or if you just have to buy a yearly pass and pay the $75 a day? That seems much too high.
Anyway, I hope to hear from someone. Thanks so much.

There are lots of free options in Utah, don't know about how close you can get to Salt Lake. Generally the bigger the City the farther away you want to be. Salt Lake is probably among the best in that regard,e.g. - okay relatively close.

State parks are too far from that call center. West of Discover is Tooele county. Lots of BLM out there, maybe less than an hours drive. Winter is right around the corner, and from what I've heard about rv parks around here, they're expensive.$700?
