So I don't have a hard time believing this huge battery bank was almost never deep cycled...when they were bought 10 yrs ago, they were expensive rich person's backup toy.

Assuming they rarely cycled, what's the best condition a high end battery could be in after 10 years tho?

Those are some old batteries. A lot can go wrong in 10 years.

The fact that they can be had for a few bucks more than I'll pay for core charges on new batteries ($35) has me tempted....if I trade them in on new later, they'll have cost me $15. Plus the time and hassle. While I'm sure much can go wrong in 10 years, I'm left wondering how much can still be right, best case scenario...
