this random advert popped up on this forum, and it kind of blew me away...

flys for 25 minutes, can go damn high, comes with a stabilized video camerra and GPS (for crying out loud) I mean I was thinking about building something similar using one of those foam drones you can get for 25 bucks, but this... damn this is like professional or military.

would you consider it an invasion of privacy if another van or RV dweller used this to spy on you?

First fly by I might just pass it off. Beyond that I'd call it a privacy issue and start thinking of it as a target :dodgy:

there was a state (forgot which one) which passed a "drone hunting season" approval, feds said if they shoot any drones out of the sky they can be arrested for federal crimes.

btw there was also a animal rights group who were using drones to get evidence against a ranch where dog fighting was going on, they shot one drone down, but didnt know the other was still taping them... it was used to convict them...

this is another of those technologies where it can be awesome or terrible depending on how its used, and we dont have many laws about it.

Unless the drone was spying on a house, which is definitely not implied by the OP, I am not sure how that would be relevant here?

I thought houses were fair game as long as you wernt entering the residence, like you can point a parabolic mike at a house, you can try and video tape people inside if the windows arent closed, etc. you just couldent actually step foot on the property and of course airspace above a home isnt recognized... so technically you could fly up to the cracked window on the balcony and record people in the bedroom doing um... whatever... think its happened to bradjolina
