I am new to the site

Does anyone know about a service provider that has unlimited calling to Canada all I need is the sim card. I live in the US.

I'm sorry I can't help much, but I do know that the Walmart StraightTalk plan has an international card available. You'll have to research their website to find where it works. My guess is it works in Canada. But it's only a guess.

As far as I'm aware T-mobile has unlimited calling to other countries if you do an international month to month plan.

Verizon offers a plan which offers unlimited long distance calls within USA and to Canada, it’s not cheap however. Depending on minutes and data included it cost from $75. Check out http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/shop/shop-data-plans/single-line-data-plans.html The cheaper option could to use calling card. I use North America Unlimited from http://www.ontariophonecards.ca/cardinfo?card_id=649 It cost $15 per month and you can use it from any mobile or land line phone. Although it’s a calling card, it allow to register the number for PIN less dial, so I do not have to worry about dialing calling card PIN number. Work just like long distance calling plan. Another option is to use a PIN less calling card with very low rate. Try Lyca Star at http://www.ontariophonecards.ca/ . You buy $5 calling card, eneter PIN once form your phone. Rate 1c/min would be deducted from your $5 prepaid balance, but if you don’t call a lot it will last you for many months.

That Verizon plan is unlimited calling within the US and does not include unlimited calling to Canada. There is a 1,000 minute plan that Verizon offers at $10.00 per month. I haven't found an unlimited call to Canada plan yet and I'm also looking for one for next winter.

I'd also double check the calling cards, they set you up with an access number through a Canadian base and aren't likely to work when calling from the US.

Oh and compared to what Canadians pay for cellular service, the $75.00 a month is comparative pricing.

I've bolded 2 parts of the quote - there's some conflict there.

I also checked out their site - it's free unlimited calling to another magicjack customer, not to just anybody.

The OP is living in the US and needs to be able to have unlimited calls from the US to Canada. I'm going to be spending my full 182 day allotment in the US next winter and will have to bring my work with me...it's all phone calls and emails to all over Canada.

The best I've found so far is Verizon with a 1,000 minutes a month but I haven't checked with them to see if I can stack another 1,000 minute plan on top of the first one to give me up to 2,000 which would suffice (I don't intend to work THAT hard... :D ), or what the price would be on overage.

I was an old Magic Jack customer who has NOT renewed my subscription with an existing number and it works for me!
