But, I kept on swinging, making sure that you got yours... All I have to say is, you attacked me, not once but twice you jerks! So I ran to the house, and you all followed me in, so this time I sprayed you! I had no choice. I hate mosquitoes!!! Always starting stuff! Unprovoked! Mosquitoes are not my friends!!!

Because of stories like this I'm thinking of carrying some kind of non-lethal electric shock (cattle prod) device

I've got close combat and long range weapons for this.

Close combat is a bug zapper racket. I like the one from Harbor Freight. It's satisfying as all heck. It will also really wake you up if you smack your foot.

Long range is a "Bug-a-salt" gun that was gifted to me. I don't use this often but it's damned fun. I've spent a couple evenings sitting in a camp chair drinking rum and inflicting massive casualties on the locals.

Show no mercy.

Mosquitos love me, often swarming me and leave everyone else next to me alone or with one or two bites. It's creepy! And weird ... I sometimes just have to leave while everyone else is feeling more or less fine and maybe wondering what the big deal is.

I have one of those bug rackets too; haven't tried it yet. Thanks for reminding me!

Also seen those bug salt thingies before, they sound fun!

Lucky, or seriously, do you eat lots of garlic??

In my youth, it seems I was like that; and I think it's because my mom cooked with lots of garlic which she stated was important to have everyday.

EDIT: I've also been immune to poison ivy since I was a kid. So maybe the bugs can sense some biochemical thingie in me that they don't like.

I am also immune to poison ivy/oak. now my brother is just the opposite the skeeters love him and if as a kid I was out exploring mom couldn't wash my clothes with my brothers because he would get the poison ivy second hand. go figure. highdesertranger

I was in the YCC and found a product that you spray it on arms, legs, and neck. No bites...But they had included the dreaded "Red dye No. 2" so it was banned...Damnit.

I've always eaten lots of garlic, but it never stopped mosquitoes.

With poison oak. I might get a quick itch, but if I leave it alone, it fades quickly. My mother, though, actually gets out and out blisters from it, and it can leave her itchy and splotchy for days. I feel extremely lucky about that, because poison oak is absolutely everywhere here, and even if you don't touch any yourself, your dog will get it on his coat if you let him go outdoors, and then ... now you got it too.

We are almost done insulating the cargo trailer. I have about 5 rolls of aluminum tape making sure every tiny spot an insect can get in through doesn't exist. Of course leaving the RAMP DOOR open might undo that ....
